Coen returned to South Africa to acquire a modern 45′ Leopard catamaran. With Richard now 25, they sailed back to Fiji to unite the two boats and continue their dream of circumnavigation. Coen captained Drifters, and Richard took the helm of Grazia. Their adventures included escaping a volcanic eruption and weathering more storms. Richard became a father, adding an extra crew member to their journey. He married a charismatic Venezuelan woman who had joined their voyage from Panamá.

Together, they sailed from Fiji to Vanuatu, around Australia, through Indonesia, across the Indian Ocean to Madagascar, and finally back to South Africa. Completing the circumnavigation was a lifelong dream come true. Both boats underwent refits and upgrades, ready for the next adventure: sailing from South Africa to Central America with baby Noah on board.

During their travels, they realized the importance of caring for our planet. They witnessed its beauty and the challenges it faces due to human impact—overfishing, pollution, and sea animals caught in debris. They rescued multiple birds and turtles entangled in discarded fishing gear.
